This is for the first time when my actual band Mediocracy and my past band Cap De Craniu will share the stage. This is a great moment to announce my official collaboration with all mighty Arcturus – the Norwegian legendary band. These 3 tshirt models were for sale for the first time ever at their concert in Brasov – Romania, organized by Donis Art, which was actually a great success. What can I say? This is the stuff…enjoy!

Roadburn festival – band posters part 2

It is a big moment today, as the last posters made for Roadburn are now public. All posters are very special for me, but I really want to thank personally to the great Michel Langevin for his accept and letting me design something for Voivod. This is highly important as both Michel as artist and Voivod as music were 2 huge influences for me over the time. Thank you mister, means something huge for me!

Roadburn festival announcement: Costin Chioreanu, Roadburn‘s official visual artist alongside Voivod‘s Michel “Away” Langevin, is currently working on a series of band posters for the 2012 festival. Both Costin and Roadburn are pleased to present his next four posters: d.usk /diSEMBOWELMENT, Hexvessel, Sólstafir and Voivod.

It’s obviously that I don’t feel anymore what I felt in the past years regarding birthday celebration, so this time I would like to mention just one thing. In my case…there were necessary 30 years to really understand this song. And I guess I didn’t get it all….after all.

Today I want to present a very special artwork I made for the upcoming release on HAL – “TRENCADIS – ödelagt”. I will not go into any kind of presentation of this record, you will out what’s about on HAL website – when the time will come: http://humanianimaliliberati.com/

Until then, I must say this art was made, like any other artwork made for HAL, under strictly guidance of Nattramn, so I want to make it clear from the first place the fact that I’m not coming with the concept or the vision, just with my visual representation. Why is this art so special? Because it was made at the beginning of my end…it was December and I was very sick and I had enough time to stay alone in my room and think about so many things…so many things that become like huge waves which were coming over me from all directions. I felt empty, I felt dead, I felt completely alone and I understand for the first time in my life why. The pain caused by all these waves it’s simply impossible to be described. This image is also very special as it is a hand made painting and nothing more…I didn’t paint in the classic mode for almost 6-7 years.

So…back to waves…for me is like a self portrait at the moment it was made. Of course, right now, I’m under all this heavy water.
