Nachtmystium tour poster

Mythology are excited to announce Blake Judd’s experimental Black Metal outfit Nachtmystium will be headlining Europe – April 2012. The confirmed dates come following the previous announcement that Nachtmystium will be playing their landmark USBM album Instinct: Decay in its entirety at Roadburn Festival 2012, with a performance at Ragnarok Festival in Germany following shortly afterwards. Post-festivals Nachtmystium will invade European clubs with exceptionally strong support in the form of German black metallers Dark Fortress.

Kandaon – Ageless Through Time cover

I’m glad that I can finally present the front cover of the new Kandaon album, entitled “Ageless Through Time”. The album release date is delayed so it will be out on Arcana Noctis in January 2012. It was a long run for this album to get into the final stage, but it’s more important that it’s actually done and ready to go to print. From my side, this album is like a tribute for the atmosphere of the ‘90 black metal music, so it was a pleasure to compose and record in this way, my guitar and bass parts. It is anyway a strange release for Romania, a country where just few people are still making more-or-less black metal. I do not know if this album will fill the empty space, and I must confess that wasn’t the reason for doing it, I just wanted to be a part of this kind of record since my childhood, so for me the fact I finally did it with somebody is more than enough.

I hope we will be able to put a song up somewhere on internet soon. Until then, check out the cover.

Akral Necrosis Pandemic Dominion video

This is the first video made for the romanian black metal band Akral Necrosis. The track is from their upcoming debut album, entitled “Pandemic Dominion” and it was already promoted through Terrorizer magazine. The video was directed, filmed and edited by me. Enjoy.

Where Purgatory Ends in New York

The visit in United States Of America was another great experiment from many points of view. Now I saw the land where all the movies from my childhood where made and the first step outside the JFK Airport in New York was a interesting experience. Thanks to Stefan Raduta, the promoter working under the name of Singe Valah, “Where Purgatory Ends” exhibition happened also in this epic center where all civilizations seems to be attracted to. The event was very well prepared, as Stefan prepared some very interesting installations for exposing the artworks in a very cool way and having on the stage in the middle of exhibition, great artists like Kevin Hufnagel (Dysrhythmia, Gorguts), Nathanaël Larochette (Musk Ox), Daniel Menche, Mick Barr (Krallice). Before the exhibition was open, the legendary Tony Iommi visited the location for having a quick signing session for his book “Iron Man”. Surrounded by the artworks of “Where Purgatory Ends”, he met a group of selected fans, in a very special atmosphere.

If regarding Finland I can say things straight, regarding the New York moments I really need more time to process, as the level of information was quite heavy and I really consider that place something totally different than what I saw before. I want to thank these great artists that shared the stage in the middle of my exhibition, turning the atmosphere of “Where Purgatory Ends” into different dimensions and ways of perception. The huge thanks goes to Stefan Raduta, for making this thing possible and to an angel that I met there under the name Emily.

I wish I could say more…but I think the pictures are working better.

Where Purgatory Ends in Helsinki

Finally I have the time and energy to add few lines on my website regarding this special moment that happened in Helsinki, thanx to the organizers of Mega Therion Festival.
The atmosphere in Finland was amazing, I really enjoyed how the people are resonating there with art in general and I was really amazed by their way of visiting a gallery. First of all, the gallery in Kaapelitehdas, Tallberginkatu was an unusual one, a completely alternative space, which was very well prepared by the promoters to be the right place of the ‘where Purgatory Ends” ritual to happen. On the other hand, the visitors were the ones that I like most: silent and focused to what is on the walls, not on the socialization. I will like to say again a huge thank you to CRISTI, MAT, MARJA, KALLE, MIIKKA, SAARA, MINNA, VEERA and ALL THE souls gathered around CLUB MEGA THERION, which it seems to be more like a new artistic movement than a …club. Visit their events as they have very fine tastes regarding art, music and visual in general. In the end I would like to add some pictures from this event:

Mediocracy – “On The Outside” video

Hails everybody! Today is a great day for me and my band, as we just released our new video, for the track “On The Outside”. The track is from our upcoming album, entitled “ASOMA”, which will be released on 11 September 2011, in Club Fabrica, Bucharest. The video was filmed by Valeriu Catalineanu and me, as the editing / director part was mine. I think the audio and visual result is nice enough to take a look.
