Well, well well…there are already 6 years since I worked for Mayhem…I did not imagine after so many years I will create a cover and a lyric video for them….different times, different people, totally different emotional environment, for sure . For me was quite complicated moment at some levels, as a huge fan of this band and a huge fan of the mastermind work of Rune Eriksen. To be honest I could not imagine this band without him. It’s different, but the demon is alive and challenging new dimensions. This is Mayhem after all, always different. This is the chaos and it’s face. Concerning the artwork itself, is something beyond I’ve done before, at many levels. The theme is more than actual , I must confess: it was a really pleasure to illustrate such a great concept which stays behind the lyrics of “Psywar”…. it is exactly what we live today. A war. Mayhem is back!
This is the cover I made for the American version of thsi historical 7”.
